For the majority of my independent gift-giving years, I fell prey to what I suspect is a common occurrence. I gave my mom and sister things that I liked, and while the gifts were always graciously accepted, they weren’t always in line with what my mom and sister wanted.
Gift giving got much easier in the era of Amazon wish lists, but a few things got lost in the transition. Even though I could go online and see a carefully curated list of gift options, the element of surprise was diminished. I felt like I was choosing gifts they had already chosen for themselves, and frankly, that was kind of a bummer.
Truthfully, my mixed emotions over gift giving probably have a great deal to do with this whole gift guide series. Not only do I want to spread the word about these fantastic Catholic artisans, but I also want to spare other people the same annual struggle I face. With so many beautiful, thoughtful options to choose from, you can’t help but choose correctly, even if you pick something you’d want for yourself.
Take a look at the gorgeous offerings in the Ultimate Gift Guide for Catholic Women, and bring joy back to your shopping process!
